The wire is rather nice, better than I expected. It is easy to distinguish between the 'red' and 'black' cables as the wires are color copper and silver. Not sure about the performance yet as I just installed it yesterday. It is definitely 14 Gauge, but is not even close to be 100 Ft long. I measured the length that I needed to cover for two speakers 45 Ft for two speakers. to my surprise and after cutting at 45ft the rest of the cable was exactly the same length! this is 10Ft less than expected.

All the reviewers from a few years ago that claimed they got shorted on the amount must have gotten through to the company because I ordered 3 - 100 foot rolls and got more than 100 feet on each roll. I was very satisfied with my purchase. I now have an awesome home theater system.

I read all the reviews and went ahead and ordered just enough for what i needed; sure enough the supposed 100ft roll was actually approx 82 ft. After speaking with customer service at [...]; they refunded me a prorated amount of $10. So in all, it's a great product, and the company remedied the situation the best they could; however it made an afternoon project a 2 week project.

I didn't feel like I was shorted any cable. The sound quality carried by these speaker wires are great on my Sony head unit and Polk speakers!

This seems like nice speaker wire but I ordered two 100' spools and both came up short at only 89' each. Based on the consistent reports of shorter lengths than advertised, this is not an accident but rather a fraud perpetrated by the seller on us buyers and Amazon. Unconscionable. I ordered a 100' spool of another brand of speaker wire and guess how long it was: 100'!
